FIRST INTERNATIONAL COERCIVE CONTROL CONFERENCE

In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the First International
Coercive Control Conference took place on October 1st and 2nd, 2021. The
conference was conceived, organized, and produced by survivors.
Founding partners include CCChat Magazine, Connecticut Protective Moms,
Engendered Collective, Finding Our Voice, Glorious Alone Productions, Gosbee
Family Foundation, Jennifer,42, End Coercive Control USA, National Family
Court Watch Project, The Positive Parenting Company. Sponsors included the
NOW Foundation and Tamara Scarowsky, a family law attorney in Canada.
This synopsis is a compilation of a two-day zoom event organized to educate on
coercive control and its danger to domestic abuse victims and children. The
conference brought together experts from the United States, England, Scotland,
Australia, Canada. Over three hundred attendees from countries worldwide,
including the United States, Canada, England, Scotland, Ireland, France, China,
South Africa, Brazil, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Mexico, and more, joined
together.
